Hibbard Inshore - Case Studies - Work

The ROV located the diver task near the limit of safe penetration down a shaft and into a tunnel. The diver followed the umbilical to the work area which was illuminated and monitored by the ROV. After the diver completed the task and cleared the area, the ROV verified all work was complete and moved to located the next task. Diver effectiveness was greatly increased by maximizing diver bottom time on task completion rather than task location and prioritization.

Diver Task Location and Diver Monitoring in a Hazardous Environment
In this project, the ROV located the work task near the maximum safe penetration for the diver and monitored the diver from a safe distance during debris hookup and removal. The ROV provided safety evaluation, task planning, safety monitoring, post-task completion inspection, broad area illumination and productivity. The diver's bottom time was maximized and overall the productivity was greatly increased.
